From the port where my anchor has run aground,
No cloud tarnishes the flight of birds carried by the gentle breeze.
Nature, with beauty unmade,
Only has death in its own watercolor, lines in flight.
The azure horizon, stretching beyond the days,
Carries the reflection of the golden coin that softly sways.
At the highest point, the resplendent great scout caresses
The sun-kissed skin of this stranger from across the oceans.
Against winds and tides, sometimes roaring,
Its sail folded upon a sandy rock, imploring.
A sailor, caught by fleeting legends,
Thought he saw the arm of a forgotten kraken ascend.
After the storm, a scent of rain lingers after treading the rough ground,
And yet, could this not be a path that has formed after the cyclone’s sound?
The clumsy pebbles dissipated with time’s measure,
Leaving on the beach only a tumult of white treasure.
Thus, in his nostrils, the taste of the iodized air sneaks.
When recalling his capsizing, on the edge of shipwrecks and creaks,
Only the echo of a voice, of an illumination, remains in his mind,
Granting him that the key is to stay on course, to bind.
Was it his conscience? Or the gleam of some divine force?
The sea, so peaceful at times,
Does not foretell the storms to come, in its chimes.
But through the calm, he now savors each day,
That makes him just a little bigger, in its sway.

En bord de mer
Depuis le port où mon ancre s’est échouée,
aucun nuage n’entache la traversée des oiseaux portés par la douce brise.
La nature à la beauté dénaturée,
n’a de morte que sa propre aquarelle en lignes de fuite.
L’horizon bleu azur, jusqu’au-delà des jours s’étend,
transportant le reflet de l’obole dorée qui doucement ondule.
Au point le plus haut, la resplendissante du grand éclaireur caresse
la peau brunie de cet étranger d’au-delà des océans.
Contre vents et marées, rugissant parfois,
sa voile s’est repliée sur un rocher de sable.
Un marin, happé par les légendes éphémères,
crut voir surgir le bras d’un kraken oublié.
Après l’orage, une odeur de pluie persiste après avoir foulé la rudesse du sol.
Et pourtant, ne serait-ce pas une voie qui s’est dessinée après le cyclone ?
Les galets maladroits se sont dissipés par la mesure du temps,
ne laissant sur la plage qu’un tumulte de sable blanc.
S’immisce ainsi en pleines narines, la saveur de l’air iodée.
Quand il se remémore ses chavirements, à la limite des naufrages,
seul l’écho d’une voix, d’une illumination, lui reste en mémoire,
lui conférant que la clé est de garder le cap.
Était-ce sa conscience ? Ou l’éclat d’une force divinatoire ?
La mer, si paisible par instant,
ne se fait pas l’oracle des tumultes à venir.
Mais au travers de l’accalmie, il savoure à présent
chaque jour qui le rend un peu plus grand.
