To be honest, the way I envisioned this poem was as a metaphor — using the image of a castle to express desire and fantasy. I’m actually considering making it part of a larger series, to give it more depth and context. Because as it stands — while I’m happy with it — I still find it somewhat incomplete.
Then again, sometimes there’s no need to say too much for the imagination to take over!
Thank you so much for your feedback, Simona. It’s always a pleasure to know that something we’ve created sparks a reaction in someone else — especially when that reaction is a positive one 😄
An open door in this strange building, where part of our fantasies are decoded, found, and dared! I missed exchanging with you, glad to be back on track :D
That's a very interesting point of view, and it's definitely one of the underlying aspects of this poem — the hidden side of fantasies, with a kind of deliberate restraint, yet expressed with a certain sense of shame. Thanks for passing by, Jake :)
There are more than a few layers in this poem, so I read it a couple of times.
For me it states a place were there happens more than meets the eye.
Where lies laying together with truths unspoken.
A place of make believe.
And a touch of sensuality...
Love the cadence I this poem Aaron 🌬🦋

To me, this piece evokes the feeling of shame that often comes with our sexuality and how far we are willing to go to hide our desires.
