Quality is always difficult...

But quantity is not sustainable...

I agree with you, and once again, I believe the answer — at least the one that feels right for me — lies somewhere in between.

I've never thought about it. Mostly my imagination is in charge, and I follow along. However, I write every day. Not all of it gets published on my substack. Interesting post, Aaron.

I think, as I wrote a bit further down, that what really matters is being aligned with yourself.

I really like the approach you described — there’s something about not placing too many demands on yourself that allows things to come naturally and better reflect who you are.

I'm moving away from quantity, because it takes up so much of my time, and leaning more towards quality.

I have to purge a bunch of emails every few days, since I haven't had time to read them.

And I'm listening to more youtube videos and reading fewer posts. But only quality videos by people I've come to trust.

Creating just for the sake of creating is exhausting and puts the creative side on hold.

It reminds me of my previous job, where some goals often came with very tight deadlines, which pushed us to deliver work I would describe as merely “passable.”

That’s definitely one extreme, of course, but I don’t think I function well in that kind of environment.

That sounds exhausting, Aaron.

It’s all about balance, right? I go on feeling, for better or worse, maybe that is a problem unto itself. Or perhaps a blessing.

Exactly this, a matter of balance! As long as you're aligned with yourself, then It shoudn't be a problem :)

I think I also tend to go with my gut feeling, but sometimes I’m a bit slow to fully express the way I see things — still, I’d rather aim for something that truly reflects who I am than just create for the sake of creating.

Hmm, interesting topic. Can I walk in the middle of all of this?

Yes I can!

I post daily, write daily ... some pieces are 'quick' because of a flow of words and feelings captured in words easily.

Other pieces take longer and yes, I polish them... ( mostly because of English not being my first language) therefore they take longer and I'm totally fine with that ( some are in the draft section for some time)

I post on the day what I feel must be said...

Nice article Aaron !

Aaaaand of course, you definitely can walk in the middle of this!

I can see that our approach to the topic is very, very similar! I'm more of a preacher for quality, but at the same time, certain demands also push us toward the quantitative side.

Once again, I believe the answer lies somewhere in the middle — finding a way to balance quality while still meeting the requirements we face in terms of quantity

Thank you for your feedback, Simona :)

This is EXACTLY what I'm debating today as I have had no bandwidth for writing with quality. Journaling daily is my quantity writing as it needs only to be poured out. I'm going to link your article to my full moon post tomorrow about this very debate! Ah! The magic of connection.

When that happens, I like to think of it as a “meeting of great minds,” haha!

Now I’m curious to read your thoughts in your article :)
